Why is it sustainable?

Chub is a handmade vase crafted out of milk.
Skimmed milk is a by-product of the dairy industry (from the production of butter and cream) and it normally just goes to waste these days. But in the past (before oil-plastic was invented), it was employed to make a plastic-like material that has no synthetic content.
The process entails extracting casein from milk leftovers, then turning it into sheets that are pressed into the form of vases, bowls, and furniture pieces.
Skimmed milk is sourced from a local (UK) dairy farm, where a small amount of cows are grass fed and milked with consideration.
