Why is it sustainable?
Log Loop is a sustainable firewood rack handcrafted out of FSC and PEFC certified oak wood and finished with a natural oil coat.
Like for all Tom Raffield's products, wood is shaped through steam bending, a traditional and eco-friendly technique. Production waste is reduced to a minimum. Wood offcuts are reused to make other products, donated to local companies that can reuse them or made available to the team for personal projects or for them to heat their homes.
At Tom Raffield, packaging is mainly plastic-free and features FSC-certified cardboard and recycled paper for instruction sheets. Tom Raffield is also part of a packaging sharing initiative that aims at sharing surplus stock of packaging material to avoid waste.
