Why is it sustainable?
Bolon produces sustainable vinyl floorings upcycling PVC waste.
All Bolon floorings options contain plastic waste, in a proportion that varies from 10% to 30% of the total raw material composition. The resulting material is free from phthalates, which are toxic both for us and for the environment.
Bolon's approach to sustainability goes beyond raw material choices. To reduce the carbon footprint from manufacturing, all production happens in Sweden, in a zero-waste factory that runs on 100% renewable energy coming from water, windmills and local groundwater cooling.
Moving towards a circular economy approach, Bolon collects waste from local companies. This is then added to its own production leftovers and reused as raw material for making new floors.
