Why is it sustainable?
Foresso is a surfacing material (that can also be used as wall finish and flooring) made from waste wood.
Both bigger timber offcuts and thinner wood dust are reused to make these slabs. Offcuts come from trees felled as part of city development and maintenance. And wood dust is sourced from the timber industry, that produces plenty of it on a daily basis.
The wood components are then mixed with a VOC-free bio-based resin and hard mineral powders (including cement and plaster waste) sourced as locally (UK) as posible. These add strength while providing a matt finish.
Natural oils and waxes finish the slabs for a scratch–resistant and food-safe result.
