Material Species

Surfacing Material

by Studio8

Why is it sustainable?

Material Species is a surfacing material made of demolition debris.

The process starts at a building demolition phase, where waste is separated carefully to allow reuse. Reusable waste types include cement powder, brick powder, stone pieces and powder, and window glass powder and shards.

Construction debris is then given a second life into these terrazzo slabs that can be employed for countertops and other surfacing applications.
