Why is it sustainable?

Kumo is a sofa made with carefully selected and all-natural materials.
The frame is made of bamboo coming from a FSC - certified supplier. The inside is made of natural latex, with added graphite to meet UK fire regulations. This latex core is then padded with coir – a byproduct of coconut – and a triple layer of wool, that is mixed with cotton to reduce water consumption, improve durability and other technical qualities. All covers are made of a 90% wool + 10% polyamide mix and hold an Indoor Advantage Gold label, which certifies interior materials for low VOC emissions.

Bamboo is shipped to the UK (where production takes place) via sea freight only, to reduce the impact of transportation.
No glue is used in construction, allowing for repairs and easy material separation for recycling purposes.
