Side Table

by Original Home

Why is it sustainable?

The Abaca side table is a great example of upcycling natural resources. Its legs are shaped out of reclaimed wood. And its top is made of Abaca leaves. Abaca is a species of banana tree native to the Philippines, whose leaves are sun dried and then woven as ropes.
Original Home doesn't only create sustainable interior design products, but it also champions ethical production methods. This side table is handmade in Java, Indonesia by artisans working under certified Fair Trade™ conditions, and its making supports the economy of the entire village.
