Why is it sustainable?
Seagull is a mat made upcycling lobster fishing rope.
WharfWarp is a husband&wife company located in Maine, where lobster is a long lived tradition.
In 2009, a buyback program collected around 30,000 miles of float rope from the ocean. This trash started to be reused locally and WharfWarp started its activities with it.
Solving a local problem, these upcycled products are taking a massive pile of trash and turning it into useful, beautiful and sustainable objects.
